Introduction to Using Your Email

WibWabWeb provides email accounts with all paid plans.  This introduction will help guide you through the email interface.

Email Configuration

You can configure your email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, and others) to send and receive your WibWabWeb email.

Webmail Interface

You can also login to your email using our web interface.

or go to webmail.[yourdomain.tld], where yourdomain is your Wibwabweb domain name and tld is .com, .net, or .org.  For example, if you have registered MyGreatSite.com as your Wibwabweb account, you would go to webmail.MyGreatSite.com to access your email.

Here is an example of the screen you will see once logged in.

These menu icons are at the top of the screen.

  1. Mail. Click on the mail icon to get to your inbox anytime.
  2. Calendar. Appointments can be entered into the calendar to track events.
  3. Contacts. Add your important contacts to the contacts folder to have them available at a click.
  4. Storage. Store your documents, files, music, and photos.
  5. Tasks. Have todo’s that need to be done at a certain time?  Add them to the tasks to have them organized all together.
  6. Notes. Jot down information you might need later.
  7. Settings. Use this to access the maintenance section of your email account.

Mail

Mail is where the sending and receiving of emails takes place.  There are several items in the left hand navigation that you will use often.  They are listed below.

Menu

Create New Mail to compose a new email message.

  1. To. Address to whom you are sending an email.
  2. Subject. The subject line of the email.
  3. Priority. Set the priority of the email to high, normal, or low.
  4. Receipt. Check on read to get notified receiver has read the message; check on delivery to be notified that it was delivered.  Note: Not all receiving servers supports this feature.
  5. Send. Send your outgoing message.
    Save Draft. Place the email in the draft folder for later.
    Address Book. Retrieve an address stored in your contacts.
    Add Signature. Allows you to sign your email.
  6. Local/ Online Attachments. Adds documents to an email.
  7. Switch to rich text HTML editor. Allows you to edit your font format, spell check, add  bullets, etc.
  8. Body. Type the content of the email here.
  9. Send. Click send when email is ready to be sent to receiver.

Search

Use the search box to find specific messages by using key words to locate them in your mail.

Search Folders

A directory of all your email folders.  Also shows you how much storage space is in use.

Settings

There are many settings available in the menu.  However, the ones covered below are the ones you will want to pay attention to.

This utility is used to configure your anti-spam settings and virus filtering.

A mail rule allows you to set up actions to occur based on certain criteria of a mail message.

Forward mail to a non-WibWabWeb address.  You can also set up auto responders and vacation messages, and mailing lists that forward mail to multiple recipients.

The Desktop Notifier, when installed,  produces a desktop alert when you receive new email, similar to the alerts shown by Outlook, Thunderbird or other download software.

Update your personal information, change your ArrowQuick password, and set your secret question/answer for password reset.
